After revolutionizing the market for external video recorders, offering competitive prices and excellent quality, Atomos aims to remain a standard for mirrorless and DSLR cameras with the Atomos Ninja V, now available for rent in Aclam.
The Ninja V is presented as the smallest model of the Atomos family, with a 5-inch screen and a 1920x1080 resolution (unlike the rest that have 7"- 19" for the Sumo - working at a resolution of 1920x1200). Still, the Ninja V looks great when you attach it to a mirrorless camera: like those in the Sony Alpha series, the Fuji X and the Lumix GH or the newcomers Canon EOS R and Nikon Z. The Ninja V works only with HDMI, but record up to 60p to 4K DCI - if the camera allows it, processed in Apple ProRes HQ, 422, LT or DNxHR HQX, HQ, SQ, LB. In addition, Atomos has significantly improved the autonomy of the recorder working with battery, up to 3 hours continously. Atomos has also added the AngelBird SSD Mini to his repertoire of accessories, ideal for use with the Ninja V. All this, added to the small and compact design of the recorder makes it the ideal ally to work with the mirrorless cameras that, more and more, are dominating the audiovisual market.
The Ninja V, with all its virtues, one of the most important strenghts it has is not to overshadow the rest of the brand's recorders. If your intention is to work with a compact camera, with the minimum accessories and weight, the Ninja V option is the most affordable and cutting edge you can find at this moment. But the rest of the Atomos family, like the Shogun Inferno and the Shogun Flame, is very practical for its power when working with superior cameras such as camcorders from brands like Sony (FS700, FS5, FS7 and FS7mkII), Canon (C300mkII, C500) or Panasonic (VaricamLT, EVA1). The Atomos recorders offer the right performance for any situation and shooting.
